Biography
Die Warzau, the Chicago-based industrial duo, craft a guitar-driven and sample-laden take on the style marked by sparse lyrics. Van Christie contributes guitar, synth, programming, and vocals while Jim Marcus supplies percussion and vocals. The pair introduced themselves in 1988 via the album Disco Rigido and followed it with Big Electric Metal Bass Face three years later. They resurfaced in 1995 with Engine and handled remix duties for Björk during the same period. After remaining inactive for a full decade, the project reemerged in 2005 with the addition of Abel Garibaldi and Dan Evans to the longstanding lineup of Christie and Marcus. That expanded quartet unveiled its first recording, the album Convenience, on the freshly established Pulseblack label.
