Haujobb

In 1993 the German trio of Dejan Samardzic, Daniel Meier and B. Junemann launched Haujobb, fusing industrial electronics with dance music. Their first recording, the cassette-only Drift Wheeler, led to a contract with Off Beat Records and the same-year release of the official debut Homes and Gardens. After touring Germany and issuing the album in the States, the group parted with Junemann in 1995 immediately following Freeze Frame Reality. The next year brought the split release The Remix Wars, Strike 1 with :wumpscut:, along with Haujobb remixes for Front Line Assembly and Download; cEvin Key repaid the gesture on the Frames remix EP. Solutions from a Small Planet, the third album, surfaced in 1996 and was followed by the two-disc Matrix, which contained both remixes and individual samples enabling bedroom producers to reconstruct tracks from Solutions for a Small Planet. Two years afterward Haujobb resurfaced with Ninetynine, and a companion remix collection appeared in 1999.
