Biography
A mutual friend brought Germans Frank Spinath and Martin Vorbroot together, yet both initially doubted that their clashing temperaments could sustain a band. Those very differences soon proved advantageous, giving rise to Seabound and its wide-ranging electro-industrial aesthetic. Dependent Records noticed one of their early demos and issued the project’s first album, No Sleep Demon, in 2001. Subsequent European and American dates alongside Covenant and Stromkern led the American imprint Metropolis to sign Seabound in 2002. Two years later the label put out the duo’s sophomore effort, Beyond Flatline.
