Biography
De/vision emerged as a synth-pop outfit based in Darmstadt, Germany, built around vocalist Steffen together with keyboardists Thomas and Markus. The three musicians came together in 1988 and went on to issue multiple studio albums, EPs, and collections of remixes. After inking a deal with WEA Records in 1997, the group marked its tenth anniversary in November 1998 with the retrospective Zehn, a best-of set that incorporated numerous self-produced remixes. Markus departed in 2000, leaving De/vision to carry on as a duo. Two years later the pair revisited their catalog by reissuing a live double-CD alongside a remix collection spotlighting key tracks spanning 1993–1996.
