Biography
Beborn Beton came together as an electro-pop trio in Germany during 1989, with Stefan Tillmann handling keyboards and drums alongside Michael Wagner on keyboards and Stefan Netschio on vocals. Once the group had issued its opening pair of albums, Tybalt and Concrete Ground, the band secured a deal with Strange Ways and entered a label lineup that already included fellow synth-pop acts Wolfsheim and De/Vision. The subsequent releases Nightfall, Truth—which contains the club favorite “Another World”—and Fake were followed in May 2002 by the U.S.-only best-of collection Tales From Another World. Its second disc showcases remixes contributed by fellow artists Camouflage, Apoptygma Berzerk, Covenant, and Funker Vogt. During spring 2002 the trio also joined Apoptygma Berzerk for a tour across the United States.
