Leland Whitty, a saxophonist, composer, producer, and multi-instrumentalist based in Toronto, maintains his primary affiliation with the raucous instrumental Toronto-bred jazz and hip-hop outfit BadBadNotGood as well as its R&B offshoot, Easy Feelings Unlimited. Additional sideman contributions have placed him alongside Kali Uchis, Tesseract, Eschaton, and Charlotte Wilson, while touring and production engagements have connected him to Kendrick Lamar, Ghostface Killah, Snoop Dogg, Colin Stetson, Mary J. Blige, Camila Cabello, Earl Sweatshirt, and Kaytranada. His schedule continues to balance ongoing performances with BadBadNotGood against separate composing and production commitments.

February 2020 saw him issue the score and original soundtrack for the film Disappearance at Clifton Hill through a partnership with bandmate Alexander Sowinski. The next month brought a further joint effort with former bandmate Matthew Tavares that yielded the psychedelic spiritual jazz outing Visions for Mr. Bongo, whose rhythm section featured Julian Anderson-Bowes on bass and drummer Matthew Chalmers.
