Lil Shordie Scott, a rapper fixated on fashion and distinguished by his high-pitched, animated vocal delivery, rose to viral prominence in 2022 via the Cardi B-inspired single "Rocking a Cardigan in Atlanta."
Based in Atlanta, he first surfaced in 2021 with SoundCloud releases that included the track "back of the bus freestyle" alongside Rich Amiri. Early the following year, "Rocking a Cardigan in Atlanta" appeared, opening on the line "I wanna take a pic with Cardi B inside my cardigan." The song spread rapidly as a TikTok phenomenon before reaching the Billboard Hot 100 in March. April brought a remix that added Offset of Migos, the husband of Cardi B. Scott followed with further singles such as "Slim Fit Polo Tee's from Lenox" and "Dopestar #Lifestyle."
