Belgian singer Lindsay De Bolle, long regarded as one of the country’s foremost voices in modern schlager pop, came into the world in Ninove in 1978. She first reached a national audience in 1996 by teaming with her brother Christoff for the Top 20 single “We Nemen Elkaar Zoals We Zijn.” More than a decade of joint performances later, she stepped out on her own in 2009 with the album Mooiste Dag, then issued 100% in 2010 and De Sleutel Van Mijn Hart in 2011 before claiming her initial number-one position via the 2012 greatest-hits set Het Beste en Meer: 5 Zomers Lang.
