Losoul

Germany's Peter Kremeier crafts the Losoul sound by blending multiple house lineages first encountered as a teenager in the late '80s, then seasoning the mix with his own inventive playfulness. Although his output often gets grouped under the micro-house banner, it steers clear of the style's occasional prim stiffness. Between 1996 and 2000 he issued six singles on Playhouse before delivering his debut album, Belong. That LP arrived the same year his labelmate Isolée released Rest, a record that drew extensive press coverage and may have diverted attention from Belong's own strengths. Frequently collaborating with vocalist Malte, Kremeier has also recorded under the Don Disco name.
