Biography
Burnt Friedman, co-founder of the space jazz duo Flanger as well as director of Nonplace Records, has applied his skills across multiple endeavors under assorted pseudonyms. During the early '90s he issued material as Drone on the now-legendary Silent imprint established by Kim Cascone, then launched Flanger in 1997 alongside Atom Heart. In 2000 he assembled the Nu Dub Players, delivering several releases on the Scape imprint even while sustaining a thriving solo discography through Nonplace.
