Biography
A Spanish composer and organist of brief lifespan, Manuel served as organist at Seville Cathedral through the final day of his life. He may have assumed the post as early as age twenty. Exceptional sight-reading formed one of his chief abilities, matched by his deeply felt and expressive performances on harpsichord, organ, and piano. The surviving compositions of Blasco de Nebra call for considerable virtuosity.
