Biography
Marc Jordan began as a film student at Brock University in Canada but abandoned his studies there in 1970 to chase a path in music. Brief stints performing with a group gave way to a return to campus, after which he departed permanently for journeys beyond the country’s borders. Once back in Toronto, a publisher offered him a contract covering recording, publishing, and management. Those early projects—a double-album song saga titled Cantata Canada and a tribute to the Royal Canadian Mounted Police—led Warner Bros. to sign him and issue his debut album, Mannequin, in 1978. Subsequent releases included Blue Desert in 1979, Talking Through Pictures in 1987, and Reckless Valentine in 1993. Cool Jam Black Earth appeared in 1996, followed by Live: Now & Then in 1999.
