Marcos Witt

Born in San Antonio, TX, as Jonathan Mark Witt, pastor and CCM artist Marcos Witt pursued classical studies at the University of Juarez in Durango, Mexico. He issued his debut album, Adoremos!, in 1992 and delivered five additional full-length projects across the next ten years. The sixth of those efforts, Sana Nuestra Tierra, earned him a Latin Grammy in 2003. Sony then signed Witt and issued his seventh album, Recordando Otra Vez, in 2004; that project received a Latin Grammy the following year. In 2006 he collected another Latin Grammy, this time in the Best Christian Album category, for Dios Es Bueno. Later the same year he released Alegria, his first recording made in Chile.
