Marta Sui Tubi

Marta Sui Tubi, an Italian folk ensemble, originated in 2002 when John Gulino and Carmelo Pipitone established the group. Prior band experiences preceded their collaboration, which began via the swap of acoustic demo recordings. Auxiliary musicians joined by 2004, expanding the roster to a fuller configuration. The 2008 release Sushi & Coca along with the 2011 effort Carne con Gli Occhi both appeared briefly on Italy's Top 100 albums listing, entering the bottom positions near their launch dates and lingering for seven days apiece.
