Biography
In 1994 the husband-and-wife pop/rock duo Martha's Trouble originated in Ancaster, Ontario, Canada, built around singer Jennifer Slocumb and guitarist Rob Slocumb. The pair later settled in Auburn, AL, while continuing to divide their time between that city and their earlier Canadian base. Their first album, Tale of a Foreigner, appeared on their independent Aisling imprint in 1998. Subsequent releases included The Road Ahead on February 5, 2000, the holiday EP Christmas Lights in November 2002, Sleeping Dogs in 2003, Still in April 2003, Forget October in 2005, and the EP EP in February 2008. Guitarist Jacob Blount entered the group as a full member for the second holiday collection, This Christmas, issued November 11, 2008. Live performances also incorporated bassist Paul Dow and drummer David Ytterberg.
