Biography
Following the dissolution of Con Funk Shun, Michael Cooper rapidly established himself as a solo vocalist. The album Love Is Such a Funny Game delivered the major single "To Prove My Love," which reached number three on the R&B charts. His next project, Just What I Like, arrived in 1989 and achieved moderate success as well. Jazz musicians Roy Ayers, Charles Tolliver, and Buddy Montgomery appeared on Get Closer, which came out in 1992.
