Biography
Omaha, NE, marks the birthplace of Michael Lee Firkins, who first took up guitar at the age of 8. His debut solo album appeared in 1990, after which a dedicated audience emerged among both fans and reviewers. The sequel arrived the next year under the title Cactus Cruz. Firkins contributed to the 1992 various-artists release Guitar Battle and also lent his efforts that same year to Jason Becker’s Perspective album. In 2001 he issued Decomposition, presenting his interpretations across a selection of cover songs.
