Born Milagros Ninette Corretjer Maldonado, Puerto Rican Latin pop singer Millie stepped into entertainment at age fifteen as host of the children’s television program La Ola Nueva. She secured a deal with EMI Latin in 1992 and delivered her first album, Sola, in 1995, which contained the duet “Estaremos Juntos” with Salvadorian vocalist Alvaro Torres. After the 1997 album Emociones, producer Rudy Pérez shaped 1999’s Amar Es Un Juego, highlighted by a Spanish adaptation of Diane Warren’s “How Do I Live.” In 2000 Millie contributed the song “No Quiero Llorar” to the motion-picture soundtrack Under Suspicion. Once her 2000 compilation Mis Mejores Exitos registered another domestic success, she joined RCA International and issued a self-titled album overseen by Rafael Perez Botija, the producer associated with Enrique Iglesias.
