Biography
As the sibling of renowned soul vocalist Betty Wright, celebrated for her track "Clean-Up Woman," Milton Wright produced several overlooked releases on the Miami-based TK label, known for its disco focus, and more precisely on the Alston imprint. His approach merged velvety, full-bodied singing with funk elements infused by disco rhythms alongside prominent electronic elements, frequently involving Moog synthesizers, leading to the release of his first full-length record, Friends & Buddies, during 1975. The track "Keep It Up" from his catalog achieved legendary status within circles of funk and disco enthusiasts, prompting a subsequent album titled Spaced, before he receded from public attention.
