Biography
Formed as a deliberately abrasive rap-metal side project from Ween, Moistboyz featured DJ and multi-instrumentalist Mickey Moist—also known as Dean Ween—alongside Dickie Moist, billed as the "Mighty Whitey Lyricist." Their debut self-titled EP surfaced on Grand Royal in 1994, pushing a fiercely un-P.C. outlook rooted in racism, misogyny, and homophobia while still tempered by Ween’s familiar frat-boy humor; after the caustic single “O.G. Simpson,” the similarly immature Moistboyz II appeared in 1996. Ween’s heavy touring and recording schedule forced the project into dormancy for several years, until it resurfaced with III in 2002 and IV in 2005.
