Biography
Born in London under the name Simone Wilson, Monie Love joined Queen Latifah on the single “Ladies First” during her teenage years. Solo releases have followed an uneven course, often hinting at greater substance than they ultimately supplied, even while each project usually included at least one standout track. After Down to Earth, she delivered In a Word or Two in 1993.
