Biography
Wes Gray works under the Moon B name as a gear-focused producer steeped in synth funk while residing in Atlanta, Georgia. His introduction arrived through the Peoples Potential Unlimited label during 2012 via an untitled album, with PPU pressing the vinyl edition and Gray independently handling cassette and digital versions. Entirely instrumental and centered on grooves with a dusty texture, the set evoked the style of a Dâm-Funk apprentice. Additional shorter releases surfaced in 2013 on PPU along with Going Good and Omega Supreme. Gray returned in 2014 with II, an album tilting further toward house and carrying apparent echoes of Larry Heard and Theo Parrish when compared with the debut.
