Nathan Sharp, a Richmond, Virginia native recognized as a voice actor, musician, gaming commentator, and YouTube personality, records under the stage name NateWantsToBattle. He started his YouTube channel in 2012, using it to deliver original tracks centered on video games alongside English-language covers drawn from popular anime titles. His discography under that name includes the album Mangled along with Songs of Time from 2016 and Sandcastle Kingdoms from 2017. The subsequent full-length Paid in Exposure appeared in 2018 and reached number 11 on Billboard's Top Heatseekers chart.
