Caleb Hyles

Caleb Hyles, an American performer skilled in singing, acting, and YouTube content creation, rose to prominence in the mid-2010s by interpreting an eclectic range of material that included Disney productions, Broadway shows, anime soundtracks, video game scores, mainstream pop hits, and metal tracks. Born in Montgomery, Alabama, he participated in choir during his youth before founding the metal group From the Dark in 2009. Shortly thereafter, Hyles joined his brother to establish the comedic YouTube outlet CrAzYbRoS, which featured dubbed versions of popular anime songs. With his audience expanding, he shifted focus to a personal channel that accumulated an extensive library of recordings through consistent weekly uploads. Early attention arrived via the 2014 Game of Thrones/Frozen mashup “Let Them Come,” performed over the melody of Disney’s “Let It Go.” Recognition soon followed for his Steven Universe interpretations, leading to the 2016 EP Steven Universe Bomb, Vol. 1. The 2017 full-length release Kawaii featured joint efforts with fellow YouTube artists RichaadEB and FamilyJules.
