Biography
Ndombe Opetum, affectionately nicknamed Pepe, was already serving as lead vocalist for Afrisa International when an invitation arrived for him and horn player Empopo Loway to enter Franco’s TPOK Jazz. His arrival registered at once. Beyond taking the place of the commanding Sam Mangwana, Opetum supplied two compositions, “Anjela” and “Tawaba,” to the final album issued under Franco’s name.
