Biography
A forward-thinking jazz ensemble known as Next Collective operates in the manner of a supergroup, drawing together saxophonists Logan Richardson and Walter Smith, guitarist Matthew Stevens, pianist Gerald Clayton, keyboardist Kris Bowers, bassist Ben Williams, and drummer Jamire Williams. The ensemble issued its debut covers album, Cover Art, which incorporates trumpeter Christian Scott, in 2013.
