Biography
Nocturnal Graves formed in Victoria in 2004 and quickly established themselves among Australia's metal underground through a fierce combination of thrash, death, and raw black metal. Their first album, the ferocious Satan's Cross, surfaced in 2007 and helped cultivate a worldwide audience via later releases such as ...From the Bloodline of Cain in 2012, Titan in 2018, and An Outlaw's Stand in 2022.
Several favorably received demos and assorted membership adjustments came before the band placed its 2007 debut with Nuclear War Now! Productions. The Gravespirit Sessions, a split-LP alongside Finland's Hellspirit, appeared in 2009, after which the group entered an indefinite hiatus the next year. They reassembled in 2012 with bassist/vocalist J.R. (Impious Baptism, ex-Destroyer 666), guitarists Decaylust (Denouncement Pyre) and Shrapnel (ex-Destroyer 666), and drummer L.W. (Denouncement Pyre), then issued their second full-length, ...From the Bloodline of Cain, on Hells Headbangers Records in 2013. Season of Mist reissued the original Satan's Cross in 2017. Titan arrived in 2018, with An Outlaw's Stand following in 2022.
