Biography
Originating from Hong Kong, China’s vibrant North Point Neighborhood, the atmospheric indie rock quintet Noughts and Exes assembled under video director and graphic artist Joshua Wong once his prior outfit, the similarly themed Whence He Came, dissolved. Their first album, Act One, Scene One, appeared on Omerta Group Records in April 2008. The band’s second release, 2010’s The Start of Us, drew favorable notice beyond Asia. The following year they secured a distribution agreement with U.S. imprint Spectra Records and devoted 2012 to financing their next album via a successful Kickstarter campaign.
