Biography
Arly Larivière fronts Nu-Look, a compas group based in Florida. The vocalist, keyboardist, composer, and producer, who grew up in Cap-Haïtien, Haiti, launched the band in 2000 together with Gazzman Pier (also known as Gazman Couleur), already a seasoned musician and stage performer by then. Across the 2000s the ensemble put out several albums, among them Big Mistake in 2002, Arly Larivière Live with Nu-Look in 2005, and Abò in 2008. Following Gazzman’s exit to lead the separate outfit dISIP, Larivière and the remaining members kept touring, appearing at festivals, and releasing further full-lengths such as Confirmation in 2011, I Got This in 2013, My Time in 2016, and No Stress in 2019.
