Biography
Originally hailing from Turkey as a composer and instrumentalist, Omar Faruk Tekbilek eventually relocated to New York. Three albums resulted from his work alongside guitarist Brian Keane: Suleyman the Magnificent Sdtrk., Firedance, and Beyond the Sky. He has further collaborated with Michael Askill on Fata Morgana while issuing the solo Middle Eastern fusion project Whirling. One Truth arrived in 1999. The rhythmic dance collection Dance Into Eternity: Selected Peices 1987-1998 followed a year later.
