The Australian five-piece Parcels emerged with a fusion of disco, funk, electro, and layered five-part vocal harmonies on their 2017 single “Overnight,” produced by Daft Punk. Their self-titled debut full-length followed in 2018 and entered the ARIA top 100, while the double album Day/Night arrived as their sophomore release in 2021.

Formed officially in 2014, the group hails from Byron Bay, New South Wales, and consists of keyboardist/vocalists Patrick Hetherington and Louie Swain, bassist/vocalist Noah Hill, guitarist/vocalist Anatole Serret, and drummer/vocalist Jules Crommelin. After exploring projects across folk and metal during their school years, the five friends committed to this direction and completed their first EP just as high school ended, after which they relocated to Berlin. Kitsuné soon signed them, issuing a series of singles and EPs that included the 2016 track Herefore, later remixed by Roisto, Her, and Onda; the Hideout EP appeared in early 2017.

During summer 2017 the band worked again with Daft Punk, who produced and co-wrote “Overnight.” The following year Parcels previewed their debut album with the singles “Tieduprightnow” and “Bemyself.” The eponymous Parcels LP reached number 94 on the Australian ARIA charts and number 48 in Germany. After releasing the live-in-studio EP Live, Vol. 1, the group returned in November 2021 with the double album Day/Night.
