Paris Hilton, recognized as an American socialite, entrepreneur, and multifaceted media presence, has simultaneously built a music career through live DJ sets and pop releases that reached the charts. Her first album, Paris, became an international success in 2006 by climbing into the Top Ten of the Billboard 200. Later years brought occasional singles such as the 2013 track “Good Time” with Lil Wayne and the 2020 release “I Blame You” with Lodato. In 2024 she reentered the Billboard 200 with her long-awaited second album, Infinite Icon, which included appearances by Sia, Rina Sawayama, and Megan Thee Stallion.

Born the eldest of Richard Hilton and Kathy Richards’ four children and an heir to the hotel empire founded by her great-grandfather Conrad Hilton, she grew up amid New York and Los Angeles privilege. Widespread attention arrived in 2003 through the Fox reality series The Simple Life, which followed her and friend Nicole Richie as they attempted farm life in Arkansas without credit cards or cell phones. The program’s popularity opened doors to modeling, writing, film, and music. Taking cues from the buoyant summer pop of Gwen Stefani and Ashlee Simpson, she issued the Top 20 single “Stars Are Blind” in June 2006; the full album Paris arrived that August, peaking at number six on the Billboard 200 and also reaching the Top Ten in Sweden, Poland, and New Zealand.

Public visibility continued through the next decade even as musical output remained sporadic. After The Simple Life concluded its five-season run in 2007, she took the lead in the 2008 film The Hottie and the Nottie and appeared on shows including Paris Hilton’s British Best Friend, The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, and Keeping Up with the Kardashians. She also moved into DJ work, hosting events in Brazil and Ibiza before establishing a residency at Harrah’s Atlantic City. The 2013 collaboration “Good Time” with Lil Wayne was followed in 2014 by “Come Alive,” both issued on Cash Money. Her third single for the label, 2015’s “High Off My Love,” reached the Top Three of the Billboard Dance Club Songs chart.

In 2017 she appeared in the video for Demi Lovato’s Top Ten hit “Sorry Not Sorry” and introduced her own footwear and home-decor lines. The seductive “I Need You,” released on Heiress Records in 2018, entered the dance-club Top 40. The year 2019 brought “B.F.A. (Best Friend’s Ass)” with Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike and “Lone Wolves” with singer MATTN, plus the launch of her 25th fragrance, Electrify. Late 2020 saw the charity single “I Blame You” with Lodato, intended to benefit survivors of child abuse. Additional standalone tracks followed, among them a 2022 version of “Stars Are Blind” with Kim Petras and the 2023 dance single “Hot One.”

June 2024 brought the first single from her sophomore album, the Rina Sawayama collaboration “I’m Free.” The dance-oriented Infinite Icon arrived that September, reflecting her DJ background and featuring Sia—who also served as executive producer—alongside Meghan Trainor, Megan Thee Stallion, and Maria Becerra. Production credits included Banx & Ranx, Jesse Shatkin, Greg Kurstin, and Kid Harpoon. Anchored by further singles “Chasin’” and “BBA,” the album reached the Top 40 of the Billboard 200.
