Biography
Pauly Shore rose to prominence among MTV viewers thanks to his laid-back, burned-out California character, yet his background tied directly into longstanding comedy traditions since his father had worked the Catskill circuit and his mother operated the Comedy Club in Los Angeles. During his commercial peak in the early '90s he took leading roles in successful movies while releasing several LPs such as Scraps from the Future, The Future of America, and Pink Diggily Diggily. Once those films began attracting smaller audiences and a short-lived sitcom failed, Shore adopted a lower public profile, emerging from time to time to issue further recordings including 2000's Hollywood, We've Got a Problem.
