Biography
Having spent years treading the boards across the musical-theater circuit throughout Northern Ireland, England, and select European venues, Peter Corry first drew widespread attention for his portrayal of Inspector Javert in the acclaimed West End staging of Les Miserables and on its ensuing U.K. tour. Born Peter Andrew Corry in Belfast, Northern Ireland, in 1966, he has explored material spanning rock, jazz, standards, and musical theater. Beyond the stage, he has hosted a television program and issued multiple albums. During 2006 he extended his reach by appearing in Las Vegas, mounting a tour through Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, Poland, and Holland, and enjoying the singular privilege of singing at Manchester United’s Old Trafford stadium in tribute to Northern Ireland football legend George Best; that same year brought the albums Sounds of the Soul and the seasonal collection My Christmas, Your Christmas. Summer 2007 then saw the arrival of Keeping the Dream Alive.
