Biography
Growing up immersed in the sounds of Tom Waits, Bob Dylan, Elliott Smith, Neil Young, and the Rolling Stones, Scottish singer/songwriter Phil Campbell entered the Glaswegian scene in the mid-'90s once he secured a development deal with WEA at age 18. Two years after that he joined EMI, issuing his debut album Fresh New Life. A string of delays and setbacks followed, during which the young artist weathered the turbulence of substance abuse, yet he assembled a stockpile of songs that would later surface on 2007's Joy and 2008's After the Garden.
