Biography
Pitch Black, the ambient dub duo assembled in New Zealand during 1996 by Paddy Free and Michael Hodgson, emerged after the pair had each pursued separate endeavors, among them programming work on a Killing Joke album issued in 1994. Futureproof arrived as their debut full-length in September 1998, with Electronomicon following in August 2000. Ape to Angel marked the duo’s initial American appearance when KOG Records put it out in October 2004.
