Russian rockers Pushking trace their origins to 1994, yet their first album to secure official U.S. distribution did not surface until 2011. Across multiple lineup changes, Konstantin "Koha" Shustarev has served as the sole enduring member, handling lead vocals and primary songwriting duties from the outset. The group cultivates a mainstream rock approach accented by metallic edges and has generated numerous domestic releases, among them Keepers of the Nature and Art, Poka Ja Zhivoy (rendered in English as "While I Am Alive"), and No Comment. Their stature within Russia manifested in substantial live draws, including a 2000 appearance at Gorky Park that attracted 50,000 spectators. Worldwide attention nevertheless stayed minimal until the arrival of 2011's The World as We Love It. Fabrizio Grossi produced the Armoury-issued set, an overt bid for American traction built around re-recorded selections from the band's catalog, each augmented by a high-profile hard rock guest such as Paul Stanley, Alice Cooper, Billy Gibbons, Steve Vai, and additional contributors.
