Biography
Queen Biz, a Senegalese singer and songwriter recognized for her bright, warm vocal tone, blends acoustic pop, reggae, and R&B with additional stylistic elements. Her initial breakthrough arrived via the 2014 release of her debut album, Maux Croisés, after which she began issuing tracks in English, French, Wolof, and her native Mandinka.
Coumba Diallo started performing as a teenager and has named Lauryn Hill among her chief influences. During college she established the ensemble Lions Clan alongside two peers, maintaining regional tours through the completion of her bachelor’s degree. She subsequently entered Khelcom International; following the group’s dissolution she chose to pursue a solo path.
Following the acquisition of several graduate credentials in international law and diplomacy, she issued the Queen Biz debut single “Wallou” in 2014. Both that track and the same-year album Maux Croisés achieved strong success, while she also appeared at international venues that included a concert at the United Nations Headquarters in New York. Queen Biz presented her second album, Puissance 3, in 2019.
