Rockie Fresh

Rockie Fresh cultivates a restrained delivery on the microphone that masks the exacting craftsmanship and impact behind his verses. Hailing from Chicago, the rapper launched his first mixtape toward the close of the 2000s, eventually connecting with Rick Ross’ Maybach Music Group and later spending time on Rostrum Records, the label behind his debut studio album Destination in 2019. Since then he has teamed once more with Casey Veggies for another installment of their joint Fresh Veggies series and has issued the independent project Slid Thru Just to Show You Whats Up in 2020.

Born and raised in Chicago as Donald Pullen, Rockie Fresh entered the scene in 2009 via the mixtape Rockie’s Modern Life. Three further solo releases arrived independently before his 2013 introduction on Maybach Music Group, Electric Highway. That same year brought an appearance on the third edition of MMG’s Self Made compilation, which reached the Top Ten and elevated his visibility, along with two additional tapes—one of them the initial Fresh Veggies collaboration with Casey Veggies. Following several Maybach Music Group releases, he signed with Rostrum and prepared Destination, his first official album. The 2019 set included the Chris Brown duet “Must Be,” marking Rockie’s first Billboard-charting single. In 2020 he reunited with Casey Veggies for Fresh Veggies 2, then promptly dropped Slid Thru Just to Show You Whats Up, featuring 24hrs, Wale, and additional guests.
