Biography
Born Evan Ingersoll, Chuck Inglish grew up in Mount Clemens, Michigan and moved to the Chicago area at age 11. He formed the alternative hip-hop duo the Cool Kids in 2007 alongside Mikey Rocks. The pair drew strong critical notice in 2011 when their debut studio album, When Fish Ride Bicycles, finally appeared after sessions that had begun in 2009. Although Mikey Rocks became the first member of the duo to secure a solo recording contract, Inglish finished his own solo studio album ahead of him, with Convertibles due in 2014 at the same time as the Cool Kids’ second full-length, Shark Week. While working on those group projects, Inglish also supplied production for fellow Chicago-based R&B starlet 10ille and prolific New Orleans rapper Curren$y.
