Shawn Chrystopher

Born Shawn Christopher Garrett II and raised in Inglewood, Shawn Chrystopher advanced several grades early and secured a scholarship to the University of Southern California. There he first studied Political Science before redirecting his efforts toward rapping. Although his mother initially resisted the switch, the choice paid off once “Catch Me if You Can” began receiving radio airplay. Its successor, “The Hangover,” proved just as infectious. Entirely self-produced in bedrooms and home studios, A City with No Seasons appeared in 2009 and established Chrystopher’s standing as an MC. After completing a handful of videos, he delivered his second album, You and Only You, as a free online download in December 2010, framing the release as a holiday gift for his supporters.
