Skye Edwards served as the primary singer for the trip-hop outfit Morcheeba, where her instantly recognizable, smooth delivery proved essential to the group’s achievements. Following the band’s fourth album, Morcheeba opted for a sabbatical, which gave Edwards ample opportunity to develop a solo endeavor. She headed to Los Angeles and initiated work on an album there, laying down initial tracks in collaboration with close associates. Once she had nearly completed a full set of songs, a fortuitous meeting with legendary producer Daniel Lanois led to multiple joint efforts. Subsequent refinement and adjustments took place back in her native London, culminating in the autumn 2006 release of Mind How You Go under the shortened name Skye.
