Snowpoet

Snowpoet revolves around the central partnership of vocalist Lauren Kinsella and bassist Chris Hyson, merging poetry, electronica, modern folk, and jazz. Formed in London during their time at the Royal Academy of Music, the group later expanded to encompass other London jazz regulars such as drummer Dave Hamblett, pianist Matt Robinson, guitarist Nick Costley-White, and saxophonist Josh Arcoleo. Their self-titled 2016 debut Snowpoet invited parallels with Björk and Ólöf Arnalds while referencing influences ranging from Baths and Flying Lotus to Joni Mitchell, Keith Jarrett, and Ravel.
