Biography
An experimental pop project called Soft Hair brings together New Zealand psych artist Connan Mockasin and British musician Sam Dust, the latter also active under the LA PRIEST name. Their paths first crossed in 2009, when Late of the Pier—Dust’s earlier band—opened for Mockasin during a tour. Between separate creative commitments, the pair started working together informally, and more than five years passed before they surfaced with their self-titled debut LP under the Soft Hair banner. Following a deal with Weird World Record Co., the album reached stores in October 2016.
