Hailing from Liverpool, the quartet STONE channels an intense blend of '90s alt-rock, punk, and electronica. Driven by personal, social, and political hardships, the group surfaced in 2020 with the single "Leave It Out." Additional singles and EPs soon followed, among them punkadonk and punkadonk2, before STONE entered the studio with Rich Costey (Muse, Arctic Monkeys) to record their first album, Fear Life for a Lifetime, issued in 2024.

The project began in Liverpool when Fin Power (vocals/guitar) and Elliot Gill (lead guitar) started writing together. Fellow Liverpudlian Alex Smith (drums) and southerner Sarah Surrage (bass) completed the lineup. Throughout the COVID-19 lockdowns the four-piece wrote and tracked songs, releasing their debut statement of intent, the 2020 single "Leave It Out," which merged punk, '90s alt-rock, and spoken word. The following year they brought their incendiary live show to stages via headline shows and support dates with Yungblud and the Blinders. Further gigs filled 2022, ending with the arrival of their first EP, punkadonk. Opening 2023 with the track "I Let Go," the band kept touring and issuing material, including the EP punkadonk2. STONE then worked with producer Rich Costey on their debut album. The singles "My Thoughts Go," "Save Me," and "Queen" preceded Fear Life for a Lifetime, which reached listeners in mid-2024.
