Biography
Submachine, a punk outfit active throughout the 1990s, earns widespread recognition as a standout act within Pittsburgh's Iron City Punk Movement. The lineup features Alex Lewinger handling vocals, Jeff Cherep contributing guitar and vocals, Ricky Budway on guitar, Jay "Cha-Chi" Nulph playing bass, and Greg "Liar" Mairs managing drums along with vocals. A 1998 C.I. compilation titled Sawed-Off Shotglass: Anthology of Vinyl gathers several vinyl releases from the band.
