Biography
Talas, a heavy-metal group originating in Buffalo, New York, was fronted by bassist Billy Sheehan, who had previously performed with David Lee Roth and Mr. Big. The act ruled the regional tavern circuit, grinding through the 1970s and 1980s in search of a major break that ultimately eluded them. Talas came to an abrupt close when Sheehan enlisted in Roth’s solo project right after the singer exited Van Halen.
