Biography
Ann Colville handled vocals while producer Mike Delaney, performing as Dub-L, supplied the beats for the Controls, a downtempo illbient duo shaped by both hip hop and new wave. The pair first crossed paths in 1996, after which they began recording material and landed a contract with Sm:)e Communications. Their opening full-length project, One Hundred, appeared in 1999.
