Biography
In late 1995 the ska-punk group the Hippos assembled in Los Angeles, its roster including singer/guitarist Ariel Rechtshaid, bassist James Bairian, trumpeter Louis Castle, trombonists Danny Rukasin and Rich Zahniser, and drummer Kyle Biggs. Their first album, Forget the World, appeared on Vagrant Records in 1998; the following year the band moved to Interscope for the release of its next record, Heads Are Gonna Roll.
