Biography
Albuquerque, New Mexico garage punks the Drags formed under the leadership of singer/guitarist CJ Pretzel and bassist Lorca Shalom, who had already worked together in Swizzle Sticks. Drummer Keith completed the lineup, and the band introduced itself with the single "I Like to Die," then issued further 7-inch releases on eMpTy ("Anxiety") and Rat City ("Well Worth Talking About"). Estrus became their label home in 1995 for the EP Dragsploitation...Now!, which preceded the 1997 full-length Stop Rock and Roll. Keith exited the following year, prompting the 1999 compilation 45 X 3 to gather out-of-print and unreleased recordings from his period in the group. Set Right Fit to Blow Clean Up appeared in early 2000.
